As a Milling Apprentice at Tiger Brands, you will participate in a two-year structured training program focused on wheat and maize milling operations. This program combines theoretical learning with practical experience to prepare you for a qualified Miller role, which includes managing production facilities, ensuring food safety, and optimizing operational efficiency. Candidates should have a Grade 12 education, with N2–N4 technical certificates being advantageous. Responsibilities will include operating milling machinery, gaining hands-on experience with mechanical/process systems, and monitoring production processes to meet quality and safety standards. Preference in hiring may be given to candidates from under-represented designated groups.

Responsibilities

• Learning and applying the fundamentals of milling operations
• Operating and maintaining milling machines and equipment
• Gaining hands-on technical experience with the plant’s mechanical / process systems
• Monitoring production processes to meet quality, yield, and food-safety standards
• Supporting maintenance, troubleshooting minor mechanical or process issues

Qualifications

• Grade 12
• N2–N4 technical certificate is advantageous
